THESE ARE SMALL CIRCLES WHOSE PLANES ARE PARALLEL TO THE PLANE OF THE EQUATOR

Each of the imaginary parallel circles of constant latitude on the earth's surface are PARALLELS OF LATITUDE. Example are Arctic Circle, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, Antarctica Circle, etc.
